Dimitri is a London-based investor at Cherry. After kickstarting his business development career in fintech and delivering electronic trading solutions to clients at Morgan Stanley, Dimitri ventured into the world of VC at Notion Capital, focusing primarily on B2B SaaS and Cybersecurity investments.

Prior to joining Cherry, Dimitri served on the portfolio business development team at Insight Partners, where he played a key role in accelerating the go-to-market strategies of portfolio companies.

Dimitri holds an MBA from London Business School. Outside of the tech world, he indulges in all things motorsport. But when he’s not wearing his motor helmet or meeting new founders, you can surely find him sporting ski goggles, hiking gear, or a scuba tank.

Why do you think it’s important to put founders first?
VCs work for founders, not the other way around. VCs can act as enablers of new technologies and businesses, but it’s the founders who are taking risks to build these from the ground up.
What’s your best piece of advice for new founders?
Keep it simple. Focus on big markets and ensure you are confident that there is a market need for your product. Remember to adapt – especially in the early days.
