Cherry's Hot Streak

Four unicorns. Two exits. Nearly $1bn raised.

We’ve said it plainly: we're here to fund Europe's first trillion-dollar company. That kind of ambition invites a fair question: prove it.

So here's the proof we’re putting in the work.

Four unicorns. Two exits. Nearly $1bn raised. One thesis.

Cherry is on a hot streak.

In the space of a few months, four Cherry-backed companies have crossed the $1bn mark:

  • Dash0: raised $100M Series B at a $1bn valuation
  • Moss: raised $50M Series C at a $1bn+ valuation
  • Proxima Fusion: raised $470M Series A at a $2.7bn valuation
  • The Exploration Company: raised $450M Series C at a $2bn valuation

Nearly $1bn raised across those four rounds alone. Two more delivered exits: Salesforce acquired Contentful, and Fortino Capital took a majority stake in Operations1.

These wins landed in fusion, space, observability, and financial infrastructure. They're the categories every serious economy will be built on for the next fifty years. And European founders are setting the pace in defining this new frontier.

These companies aren’t just raising capital. Proxima Fusion is building the reactor. The Exploration Company is flying to space. This is what "Europe leads, not follows" actually looks like when you stop saying it and start proving it.

This isn’t random.

We built Cherry on operator DNA for exactly this moment. It's what happens when operators back operators, when conviction outlasts a cycle, and when founders are given the room, and the capital, to think in decades, not quarters.

Fund V was our commitment to patience over exit-chasing, to backing ambition before it's obvious. This summer is the return on that commitment, and it is compounding.

And we’re not slowing down.

Four billion-dollar companies and two exits would be a good year for most funds. For us, it's a few months, because the next trillion-dollar company is being built right now, somewhere, by a founder who hasn't made headlines yet. We intend to be in that round too.

We're only just getting started.
