Stockholm-based Sophia works as a Partner at Cherry. Sophia found her passion for supporting early-stage companies through her own 40+ angel investments across Europe and North America. This experience led her to creating the Angel Programme at Atomico, where she was an entrepreneur-in-residence and Partner.

Stepping back a bit, when Sophia says she understands early-stage companies, she means it: she used to work at an apartment-based Swedish startup. In fact, she enjoyed it so much that she spent seven years as the company’s Global Marketing Director, leading its international expansion efforts. That company is called Spotify.

Aside from venture capital, Sophia also co-founded AllBright.se, a non-partisan and non-profit foundation on a mission to create a more diverse business sector, and served as an innovation advisor to the Swedish Prime Minister. She has received numerous accolades for her investment work and support of founders, including being ranked as Business Insider’s top seed investor in Europe in 2022.
