Max Blome
Investor
Max is an investor at Cherry briding his time between Munich and Berlin. Before joining Cherry, Max had successful stints in both M&A and consulting, but quickly gravitated towards startups and building things from scratch. He worked on a consumer sustainability venture for the company builder TruVenturo and later joined the financial management platform — and Cherry portfolio company — Moss to support their European expansion. Working across versatile deals, he spends most of his time at Cherry investing in marketplaces and businesses empowering the physical world across industrial and supply chain use cases.
A former competitive tennis player, Max is pretty versatile and active in his free time too: a keen hiker, skier, and Alpine climber. He holds business degrees from WWU Münster and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.
What kinds of founders are you looking to partner up with?
I love founders who make me feel stupid because they have spent years navigating their niche, developing their ideas on how they want that market to look like in 10 years from now. If I feel like I am speaking to one of the very few people on the planet that can actually pull this off, then I get excited.
