Jonas is Head of Legal at Cherry Ventures, where he leads all legal matters for the firm and supports the investment team on financing rounds, exit transactions, fund structuring, compliance, and regulatory issues.

Before joining Cherry, Jonas worked as a lawyer at Freshfields and later at YPOG, advising investors and startups on cross-border M&A and private equity transactions, growth investments, and regulatory matters.

Jonas is a fully qualified German lawyer. He studied law at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, holds an LL.M. from the European University Institute in Florence, and earned his doctorate in law from Freie Universität Berlin.

Originally from Hamburg, Jonas enjoys traveling and has lived in Buenos Aires, New York, London, Brussels, and Florence. When time allows, he enjoys spending time on the water, preferably on a sailboat.
