Max joins our Berlin base and will work across deals, but is particularly interested in regulated industries, improving the legal software stack, and cybersecurity. He will also support our Nordic coverage. Max recently completed an internship with us at Cherry and we were immediately impressed. He showed drive, speed, and analytical rigor in deals plus a commitment to founders and a positive “can do” attitude.

Long story short, we jumped at the opportunity to bring him on board full-time.

Max studied law at Humboldt University in Berlin and the University of Barcelona and gained previous work experience at Acton Capital, Freshfields, and Zenjob. In the latter role, he focused on internationalization, product development, and fundraising.

Yet, through it all, Max ultimately decided to make the shift to venture capital, intrigued by how startups are forward thinking and forward moving. Although he embraced the thrill of transactional experiences in law, he quickly discovered even more exciting opportunities via deals in VC with, of course, the added bonus of working side-by-side great founders across Europe.
